OUR RATES

At Special Delivery, one of our aims is to provide rates that are cost effective to all customers. Below are the standard charges as of February 1st, 2024 that customers can expect to be included in their overall cost, depending on the item(s) ordered.

Bahamas Customs Charges

Duty, Vat, 1% Processing, Environmental Levy Fees etc.

Freight Charges

Freight is determined by the physical (actual) or dimensional (size) weight (whichever is greater). Packaging is considered as part of the physical and dimensional weight. The calculation for dimensional weight is: Length x Width x Height (in inches) / 139 = Dimensional (Size) Weight. Your freight fee is based on the greater of the two weights.

Brokerage Fee

$3.00 per line item (minimum $12.00)

Home consumption entries (c13)- $70.00 + $3.00 per line item.

Bonded Entries (c14)- $85.00+ $2.00 per line item

Pallet Storage Fees

$10.00 per day

Fragile Freight

Due to the fragility of goods such as televisions, these types of goods will be billed at a rate of $1.25 cent per inch, which will cover receiving, shipping and proper handling during the loading and clearance process. This does not include insurance.

Shipper's Export Declaration fee

In line with US Customs’ regulations, we charge a fee of $35 for any shipment valued over $2,500. Shipments valued over $2,500 are held by US Customs for 48 hours.

Purchasing Fee

15% of the value of the order or $10 (whichever is greater)

Cargo Handling Fees

All cargo 100lbs or more will incur a handling fee of $10.00.

Receiving Fees

As of February 1st, 2024 all packages received at our U.S Warehouse will be subject to a $1.00 receiving fee which will be reflected on your final bill prior to pickup.
